Let’s face it, the extra pounds you’re carrying around are due to overeating - plain and simple.
Why do you overeat? Here are a few likely reasons:
Habit: Whether you realize it or not, you eat in a learned pattern, rather than out of need. You clean your plate because that’s what your mother taught. You eat what is served without stopping to check if you are full. You butter two pieces of toast for breakfast rather than questioning if one piece would do the job.
Absentminded: You forget to pay attention when you eat. Mindless munching while watching a movie, snacking while driving, or picking at food while cooking - these absentminded calories really add up.
Something Deeper: Sometimes you use food for recreation or to change your mood. These calories may lend you a temporary sense of comfort or pleasure, but ultimately your body suffers from the indulgence.
How can you stay lean during the holiday?
It’s the time of the year when people on average gain 5 to 10 pounds. The next two months will bring ample opportunity for you to indulge, to enjoy and to expand your waistline. Of course the choice is yours. Most will wait till January to begin a new training program, but there are a few who will hedge their eating and increase cardio to make up for the holiday food surplus.
Now is the time to begin reestablishing your fitness program so that by the time January 1st rolls around, you will already be in good shape. So in this moment of clarity, this calm before the storm, let’s outline a plan that will save you from unwanted holiday pounds.
Adrenal Fatigue
Fatigue and lethargy is one of the most common complaints amongst adult patients. If you have symptoms such as tiredness, fearfulness, allergies, frequent influenza, arthritis, anxiety, depression, reduced memory and difficulties in concentrating, insomnia, worn-out, inability to loose weight after extensive efforts, you may be suffering from adrenal fatigue (technically known as hypoadrenia).
Adrenal fatigue has a broad spectrum of non-specific yet often debilitating symptoms. The onset of this disease is often slow and insidious. Patients are told that they are stressed and need to learn to relax more. Yes, we all know that “stress kills” to a large extent. But, the question is how? And, what are the solutions?
Tips To Lose Fat
To tone your body, gain muscle, and lose fat, you must really be willing to change your habits and lifestyle. I will be the first to tell you that it is not easy to lose fat. It takes a lot of hard work, dedication, and consistency.
From my experience with clients, I have found that initially people are always, “gun ho” or ready and willing to train hard in the beginning; but what many lack is follow-through and consistency. In order to have success, you must be dedicated and consistent. Without these two principles as your motto, you are bound to fail in the long run.
This blog is intended for readers who are interested in a variety of health and fitness topics ranging from physical to metaphysical and a full detailed description on how to tone and shape your body. It will also cover health issues such as depression and chronic fatigue syndrome.
